Hi, Iām Monica
I've always been drawn to the intersection of craft, curiosity, and problem solving.
Over the past decade, I've designed products for global brands, growing startups, and the business my husband and I built together from the ground up. Whether I'm creating a design system for the Apple Store app, helping simplify an e-commerce experience, or building Catch & Release Wines, I'm most interested in making complex things feel thoughtful, intuitive, and lasting.
I've found that care has a way of showing up in the final experience. It's reflected in the details people might never consciously notice, but instinctively trust. That's the kind of work I enjoy making.
I'm happiest working where product, brand, and engineering overlap. The problems I find most rewarding usually aren't about designing another screen. They're about understanding how people think, building systems that can grow over time, and helping teams create better work together.
Outside of design, I'm often enjoying (and making) natural wine with my husband, tending our garden, cooking with whatever is in season, or hunting for vintage furniture to restore. I love learning from people who are deeply committed to their craft, whether they're winemakers, farmers, woodworkers, or chefs. Spending time around makers like that has shaped the way I approach design just as much as any job I've had.
I believe good design comes from thoughtful decisions, not fashionable tools. Technology will continue to evolve, but curiosity, craft, and good judgment have a much longer shelf life.
